INTRODUCTION

Warehousing is recognized today as one of the most important functions in logistics and commerce. A Licensed Manufacturing warehouse (LMW) plays an important role in enabling manufacturing process to be carried out in Malaysia under Section 65 / 65A of the Customs Act 1967. The manufacturing operation inside the licensed warehouses is subject to minimal customs procedures. This is primarily intended to cater for the export oriented industries The programme is suitable for those people who are employed in the logistics industry especially those involved in manufacturing sector and freight movement industries. This programme is tailored to meet the needs of the industry, with emphasis on setting up and operating a Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW).All various aspects LMW are covered in great detail.
