HRM 015 – Industrial Relation & Benefit Compensation, 15 & 16 October 2024

Introduction

Starting on 1 January 2023, the Employment Act 1955 has been amended to come into effect. This amendment will have a big impact especially on employers. Amendments have also been made to Schedule 1 of the Act which causes the scope of the Act’s coverage of workers in Peninsular Malaysia to be wider. Therefore, human resource management policies and procedures also need to be updated.

As we all know, all employers need to study the Employment Act 1955 and its Regulations. For those who work in the Human Resources Department, it is also necessary to wisely implement this Act as an obligation demanded by the Law.

This 2-day course will also cover current issues involving the latest Act Amendment in the context of comprehensive Human Resource Management.

Objective

At the end of this two-day course, participants will be able to:

  • To provide disclosure regarding mandatory matters for the provision of industrial relations and compensation benefits for contracts with reference to the 1955 Act.
  • Know the qualifications and what needs to be done by employers and employees for the title
  • Knowing and deepening the Work Act Amendment 2022 which comes into force on 1 January 2023 and its effects on a Company.
  • Find out who the workers are who are protected under the Employment Act 1955.
  • Understand the service contract and the things that should be in the service contract.
  • Dealing with the main issues in breaking or terminating the service contract.
  • Knowing at a glance about misconduct and internal investigations and suspensions.
  • Deepening the rights and benefits for female workers.
  • Refine the conditions and benefits for workers protected under the Employment Act 1955.
  • Ensuring that provisions regarding Wages or Salaries are implemented perfectly by the Employer
  • The main provisions in the Investigation and enforcement of the Employment Act 1955 by the Department of Labor
